Hello, we are a diversified family operation that specializes in breeding the best Horned and Polled Hereford Cattle possible. Our dry land operation is located 30 miles north of Circle, MT, where our cattle run on native range. Longevity and Maternal are two strong traits of the Hereford breed and also our family. The fourth generation is now involved in our business and without family on weekends and after work, our operation wouldn’t be complete. Eddy and Joanne raised 5 children and now the next generation of grandkids all get involved at busy time. Sadly, Eddy passed away on March 27, 2014. Matt and Krista live on the ranch and manage day to day activities along with their two children Ethan and Leah. Joanne remains actively involved in the ranch as well. We would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to display our cattle.
What we have learned since 1939
Here at Beery’s, 80 yearling and two year old bulls are selected from the cream of the crop. Two out of three bull calves are steered. In our program we realize that every bull born is not going to be kept as a bull. For 70 years, Herefords have been the back bone of our ranch. Through these years we have learned many lessons on production, some left awesome memories and some left us questioning our sanity. The most important thing we learned is customer satisfaction!!!! Our customers really haven’t changed since the beginning - calving ease, moderate framed, early growth, clean uddered, solid marked with pigmitation, and cattle that are sound is what they want. Of the bulls we sell, 98% go to a crossbreeding program to produce the” Queen of the Prairie,” the true F1 Black Baldy female; and without these traits that we have in our program, we are just another terminal cross program. Our bulls will perform for you and give you a product you can bank on!!!!!
